Forza Horizon 6 Brings "British Automotive" to Japan
Forza Horizon 6 is shifting gears for its fifth Festival Playlist series. Starting Thursday, September 10 at 2:30 PM UTC, British Automotive brings 10 reward cars to the Festival Playlist, including three making their Horizon debut. The series also adds a new permanent Drift Attack feature, a British Automotive Takeover near Horizon Stadium, and plenty of new ways to put these cars to work around Japan.
The three new Horizon additions are the 2025 Bentley Continental GT Speed, 2019 Ginetta G40 Junior, and 2006 Vauxhall Astra VXR, and each brings something different to the table. The Bentley packs 771 horsepower and all-wheel drive, making it a serious option for high-speed builds, while the tiny Ginetta takes the opposite approach with just 100 horsepower and rear-wheel drive. The Astra VXR lands somewhere in between, offering 236 horsepower from its turbocharged four-cylinder engine and plenty of hot hatch character.
There's a good mix of British performance throughout the rest of the Playlist, too. The 2015 Jaguar XKR-S GT, 2021 McLaren 620R, 2021 MINI John Cooper Works GP, and 2023 Lotus Emira give players several very different options to add to their garages. The 2019 Aston Martin Valhalla Concept Car is also up for grabs at 160 points this series, while the 2016 Bentley Bentayga brings a luxury SUV into the mix and the 2002 Lotus Esprit V8 adds some classic British sports car flair.
One of the more interesting additions this time around is Drift Attack, which is becoming a permanent feature at the Shimanoyama Circuit. Instead of drifting through a series of zones, players take on a full lap and try to rack up as many points as possible. Clipping Zones can help boost your score, with leaderboards giving players a reason to keep coming back and improve their runs. Completing Drift Attack also unlocks the 1990 Jaguar XJ-S Forza Edition, a car built to make the most of the series' new drifting challenges and give players even more reason to hone their drift skills.
The British Automotive Takeover is also making its way to the area near Horizon Stadium. Along with a selection of British cars available to purchase, the Takeover gives players a chance to pick up the 2019 Aston Martin DBS Superleggera and 1961 Jaguar E-type, two rare cars that aren't normally available through the Autoshow.
The Car Pass is getting four more cars during the series, starting with the 2025 McLaren W1, followed by the 2023 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon 170, 1998 Renault Sport Spider, and 1987 Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe ‘Luftauto 002’. It's a pretty varied group, ranging from one of McLaren's newest supercars to a lightweight French roadster and an unusual Porsche built with off-road performance in mind.
British Automotive runs from September 10 through October 8, giving players four weeks to explore the new events, take on Drift Attack, and unlock a collection of British cars before the next Festival Playlist series Horizon Meets arrives in October.
